Miradur and kestoboard, high-quality cover materials for the graphic arts and luxury packaging industries
Our cover materials serve the needs of the graphic arts and packaging industries in particular. The range includes both popular classics and trendy designs including also leather-like and fabric-like products. We are also pleased to create tailor made solutions according to customer wishes. Please notice that some of the colors in Miradur and Kestoboard collections may have color variation between different manufacturing batches.
Miradur
Miradur™ is a paper-based vinyl cover material and its suitable for hard cover books, gift boxes, and cases, menu and wine cards. Its main advantages are trendy appearance, durability, and a pleasant feel. The material weight of Miradur is 210 gsm/m2.
Kestoboard
Kestoboard™ is a board-based cover material and its suitable as such for perfect bound flex cover books like Bibles, hymn books, dictionaries, notebooks, and calendars. Kestoboard products are available in 290 gsm/m2 – 360 gsm/m2 according to customer needs.
Miradur and Kestoboard are finished with water-based varnish, which improves their wear resistance, appearance, and durability. The surface of the material is dirt-repellent and can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Books can be designed by using digital, foil, silk screen, and UV-offset printing. Further Miradur and Kestoboard cover materials can be welded by using thermal, high-frequency, and ultrasonic welding.
Miradur and Kestoboard are manufactured without harmful phthalates and from raw materials, which are in compliance with REACH regulations. The REACH regulations were created to improve the environment and protect human health.
